On the January 15,
2014 started organized by SIQA youth camp. The camp was leaded by "Civic Education
and Teacher Training Program" project, which is funded by USAID, implemented
by PH International and - partner in the
region.
Participants of the five-day camp came from seven municipalities in the
Kvemo Kartli region, 24 schools, including: 12 of Georgian and 12 of Azeri schools. There were 3
representatives from each school (civic education teacher and two senior
pupils) During the camp they had training about intercultural education , civic activities ,
planning and realization of projects. Camp participants developed specific
projects to solve the problems in the municipalities. Project involves collaboration
with local government representatives.
Civic Education and Teacher Training
Program is designed to improve the quality of civic education in the school and
increase youth participation in the process of building a democratic society.
