Gender equality workshop

In the 24th February 2014 EVS volunteers from France went to the school in Gardabani to make a workshop about gender equality. The purpose of the training was to familiarize the participants with more detailed information about gender equality. to show them stereotypes and give chance to debate of the traditional role of men and women.
The training was translated from English to Georgian and Azerbaijan languages.
The meeting was highly appreciated by the pupils who have raised awareness of gender equality.

Volunteering fair


On the 15th February 2014, SIQA was taking part in  volunteering exhibition in the Marriot Hotel in Tbilisi. There was chance to discus about volunteering in Georgia, to share experience and ideas. 

Such exhibitions helps young people to find interesting volunteering activities, as well improves their  start to professional career.

Event about Wielkopolska region


On the 14th of February 2014, polish volunteers organised event about one of the regions in Poland : Wielkopolska  - The Grater Poland
During the event participants had chance to learn about landscape, cities, cuisine and traditions of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, where Ewelina and Mateusz were studying.
Presentation showed also the capital city Poznań with it's sightseeing place, historical background and modern leisure parks.
Gathered audience was delighted with the information that Poznań were beating the Guinness record in setting up the fire lampions in 2012, with about 12 000 lampions.
Patritipants learn also why this region is called: " Land of potato" and had chance to discover it by trying the traditional regional dishes: soup " Ślepa ryba" (Blind fish) and potatoes with cottages cheese "Pyry z gzikiem"
